Police Expand Probe After Major Revelations in High-Profile Case
Karachi police have intensified investigations into an alleged drug trafficking network after the arrest of a woman identified as Anmol alias Pinky, a suspect reportedly linked to multiple narcotics cases across the city. Authorities say the case has uncovered a much larger network involving local and foreign connections, making it one of the most talked-about crime investigations in recent weeks.
During a press conference, senior police officials revealed that several individuals, including foreign nationals and suspects from different cities, are believed to be part of the network. Investigators claim the operation had been active for years and involved large-scale distribution of illegal substances within Karachi.
Large Quantity of Narcotics and Financial Evidence Recovered
Police officials stated that the suspect was arrested from Karachi’s Garden area, where authorities allegedly recovered cocaine, chemical materials, and a weapon from her possession. Additional raids later led to the recovery of more suspected narcotics from another location connected to the case.
According to investigators, forensic analysis of mobile phones and financial records exposed hundreds of contacts and millions of rupees in transactions linked to the operation. Authorities are now tracing possible facilitators and individuals connected to the network in different parts of the country.
Nationwide Investigation Underway
Officials also confirmed that multiple agencies are working together to expand the investigation, including cybercrime and federal authorities. The names of suspects connected to the network may reportedly be placed on travel restriction lists as the inquiry moves forward.
The case gained massive public attention after videos linked to the suspect’s court appearance circulated online, sparking debate and raising questions regarding security procedures and law enforcement conduct.
As investigations continue, authorities say more arrests and major developments are expected in the coming days.
