Alleged Drug Network Under Scrutiny After Court Grants Physical Remand

A dramatic development has emerged in Karachi’s high-profile drug case involving a woman identified as Anmol, also known as Pinky, after police successfully obtained her physical remand for further interrogation.

The case gained fresh attention when investigators challenged an earlier court decision that had sent the accused into judicial custody. Authorities argued that detailed questioning was necessary to uncover a larger narcotics operation allegedly connected to multiple cities and criminal activities.

Following the police request, the district court approved a three-day physical remand, allowing investigators to continue their probe into what officials describe as an organised drug trafficking network. According to investigators, the accused is believed to play a central role in the syndicate’s supply chain and operations.

Police officials claim the investigation may also reveal links to illegal weapons, hidden accomplices, and even a murder case suspected to be tied to the same criminal network. The scope of the inquiry has now widened significantly, with authorities tracking possible connections outside Karachi.

A special investigation team has reportedly been formed to conduct operations in different cities of Punjab in an effort to arrest additional suspects believed to be associated with the network. Officials have also submitted reports regarding arrests already made during ongoing raids.

Meanwhile, senior investigation officers visited Landhi Jail to supervise the initial questioning process, signaling the seriousness of the case. As new details continue to emerge, public interest around the investigation is rapidly growing.
