Company Takes Major Step Toward Environment-Friendly Manufacturing in Pakistan
Pak Suzuki Motor Company has introduced a modern solar power and biogas energy system at its manufacturing facility in Karachi, marking another important move toward clean and sustainable energy in Pakistan’s industrial sector.
According to the company, the newly operational biogas plant has the capacity to produce one hundred cubic meters of energy daily. The facility uses Napier grass, which is widely available in Pakistan, along with leftover waste collected from company cafeterias. This environmentally friendly system is designed to reduce carbon emissions while creating an alternative source of energy for factory operations.
Alongside the biogas project, Pak Suzuki has also launched a large-scale solar power generation system with an output capacity of nine hundred and twenty kilowatts. The company stated that the solar setup is expected to generate more than one million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, helping reduce dependence on conventional power sources.
Clean Energy Projects Growing Rapidly in Pakistan
Pakistan has witnessed significant growth in renewable energy projects in recent years as industries and households increasingly shift toward solar solutions amid rising electricity costs. Reports suggest the country has imported solar panels worth billions of dollars over the past few years, highlighting the growing demand for alternative energy sources.
Managing Director Hiroshi Kawamura said the company remains committed to introducing environmentally responsible technologies and supporting Pakistan’s broader environmental goals. He added that these initiatives reflect Pak Suzuki’s dedication to building a greener and more sustainable future.
Industry experts believe projects like these could encourage more manufacturing companies in Pakistan to adopt renewable energy systems and reduce environmental pollution on a larger scale.
