Government Launches Investigation Into Alleged Cambridge Mathematics Paper Leak

Fresh controversy surrounding Cambridge examinations has created anxiety among thousands of students and parents across Pakistan after reports of leaked Mathematics papers surfaced during the ongoing examination session.

A high-level meeting was held at the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control where senior officials, education authorities, Cambridge representatives, the British Council, and cybercrime investigators discussed the matter in detail. The meeting was chaired by Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha, who expressed serious concern over the allegations and called for immediate action.

According to officials, the government raised concerns over the growing fear among students and parents regarding the integrity of Cambridge O Level and AS Level examinations. Representatives from Cambridge reportedly stated that the issue may be linked to theft of exam material rather than an official paper leak, while assuring authorities that strict examination standards remain in place.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has now been directed to conduct a complete investigation in coordination with Cambridge officials. Authorities also stressed the importance of transparency and timely updates to maintain public trust in the examination system.

The controversy intensified after Cambridge confirmed earlier this week that an AS Level Mathematics paper had indeed been compromised, forcing the postponement of another scheduled Mathematics exam. Similar allegations had also emerged last month, resulting in a replacement paper being announced for June.

Students and parents across the country are now waiting for Cambridge’s next official statement, hoping clarity will emerge soon regarding the future of the affected examinations.
