The Sindh Education Department has officially announced summer vacations for all public and private schools across the province. According to the latest notification, schools will remain closed from June 1 to July 31 due to the increasing temperatures and ongoing heatwave conditions.

The decision comes as extreme weather continues to affect different parts of Pakistan. Parents, students, and teachers have welcomed the move, calling it an important step to protect children from the intense summer heat.

Earlier, Punjab had also announced extended summer holidays for educational institutions. Authorities say the rising temperatures could create health risks for students, especially during daytime school hours.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that heatwaves may continue in the coming weeks. Officials have also alerted citizens about possible dust storms, strong winds, urban flooding, and other extreme weather events during the summer season.

Experts are advising people to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and take precautionary measures to stay safe during the hot weather.
