Ahmad Raza Dar FIR: Fresh Case Filed in Lahore as Investigations Continue

Ahmad Raza Dar has been named in another First Information Report (FIR) in Lahore after police registered a case over an alleged hit-and-run incident that reportedly caused around Rs300,000 in damage to a citizen’s vehicle. The latest development adds to a series of ongoing legal proceedings involving Dar, who is already among the accused in a separate high-profile investigation.

According to the newly registered FIR, the case includes allegations related to rash driving and damage to private property. Police have begun legal proceedings under the relevant provisions of Pakistani law, while the matter remains under investigation. Authorities have not announced any findings regarding criminal liability, and the allegations will be examined through the legal process.

The latest FIR comes at a time when Dar is already facing scrutiny in another widely reported investigation involving alleged cryptocurrency-related extortion, kidnapping, and the alleged sexual assault of two foreign women.

According to Arab News, Pakistani investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the earlier case after two foreign nationals, one from the Netherlands and another from Venezuela, were rescued by Lahore Police following an emergency distress call received from Spain. Police said the rescue operation was launched after the father of one of the women contacted authorities, leading investigators to locate and recover both women.

Court proceedings in the earlier case have also moved forward. Arab News reported that a Pakistani court granted investigators physical remand of four suspects, including Ahmad Raza Dar, to allow police to recover evidence, conduct forensic examinations, and continue the investigation. Prosecutors told the court that investigators were seeking additional evidence, including alleged ransom money, digital evidence, and forensic material.

Several local media outlets have also reported that investigators are examining whether the alleged incident may have involved a cryptocurrency dispute. However, authorities have not reached any final conclusions, and police continue to gather evidence as part of the ongoing inquiry.

The newly registered hit-and-run FIR is separate from the earlier investigation but further adds to Dar’s legal challenges. Police allege that the vehicle collision resulted in approximately Rs300,000 worth of damage to a citizen’s vehicle. The FIR includes allegations relating to rash driving and property damage, though the matter is still at the investigation stage.

Under Pakistan’s legal system, the registration of an FIR marks the beginning of a criminal investigation and does not establish guilt. Any allegations made in an FIR must be examined through police investigations and, where applicable, court proceedings before any legal determination is made.

Legal experts note that investigations involving multiple allegations often require forensic examinations, witness statements, documentary evidence, and court oversight before prosecutors decide how to proceed. Until that process is completed, all accused persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation while investigations continue. Officials say further developments will depend on the evidence collected during the investigation and any subsequent court proceedings.

As both investigations continue, additional updates are expected from law enforcement agencies and the courts in the coming days.
